The Lao Plaza Hotel is the country's leading business hotel and is the accommodation for important guests of the Lao Government, official state visits and social events. Located near the Lao National History Museum, it is the country largest hotel and has many facilities and amenities in its complex. It was renovated in 2003, when the new fitness club and spa were added.
The building is seven storeys high which is the maximum permitted under government construction rules. It is one of the tallest and modern buildings in the city centre. The experienced Lao Plaza Management team has been giving their best services to their customers since the opening in 1997 and are determined to continue to be a leader in the Lao hospitality industry.
