The holiday season always brings cozy and joyful feelings to both guests and hosts. Hotels try to make this year’s holidays a time to remember with special events for your loved ones, close friends, colleagues or business partners.

Renaissance Riverside Hotel Saigon: Besides the Christmas Eve dinners at Riverside Café, Poolside terrace and Kabin Chinese Restauran, a play room is set up for children who also will receive a special gift from Santa Claus. The highlight at the New Year’s Eve is the dance party from 9 p.m. at the poolside terrace. Saigon well-known DJs will entertain the party. There are also Christmas Day Luncheon and New Year’s Day Luncheon. Christmas hampers and goodies are also available for guests.

Legend Hotel Saigon: At the Lobby, on Dec. 22-23, the Thang Long School’s Children Choir will perform Christmas Carols. Christmas Eve and Christmas Day parties are available at Kikyo Ballroom, Atrium Café, Yoshino Japanese Restaurant, Legend Lounge, Poolside Bar and Oggi Steak and Bar. Entertainment by a live music band and gifts for every child from Santa Claus are available.

Caravelle Hotel: Carolers from Saigon Children Charity will spread Yuletide cheer as they sing heart-warming seasonal classics on Dec. 20-23 at Lobby Lounge. From Dec. 1-26, there are Festive Afternoon High Tea & Christmas Goodies on sales at Lobby Lounge. Besides parties for Christmas and New Year at Nineteen Restaurant, Reflections and Saigon Saigon 3, there is a thrilling count-down dance party.

Park Hyatt Saigon: At Park Lounge, Chef Victor Hasting prepares a Christmas Afternoon Tea and Friday Afternoon Tea Buffet with Vietnamese treats and French-inspired pastries from Dec. 7-27. The Christmas Eve Dinner, Christmas Day Lunch and Christmas Day Roast Dinner are both available at its Opera and Square One Restaurants where children will receive a surprise gift from Santa Claus. Besides New Year’s Eve Dinner and Prosecco Brunch for New Year’s Day, the countdown to 2009 will be celebrated at Park Lounge with songs of Andrea Hamilton - a singer from Kansas, Missouri. The Santa’s Shop is open till Jan. 1, offering a take-away menu for those who wish to celebrate Christmas in their own home. On the occasion, the hotel also offers special promotions for those to organize festive season parties here.

New World Hotel Saigon: On Dec. 20 Parkview Restaurant offers an International Christmas Brunch buffet. Santa Claus will visit the restaurant at that time to bring fresh cookie bags for the children. Then, on Christmas Eve, Parkview and Dynasty restaurants have special menus. For all who prefer to celebrate Christmas outside, the Christmas barbecue is offered at Splash pool bar besides a Christmas and Boxing Day buffet at Parkview on Dec. 26. The hotel has a New Year’s Eve program at all Parkview, Dynasty and outside Splash Bar.

Intercontinental Asiana Saigon: Options for the season delights at the latest five-star hotel in HCM City include a four-course Royal Christmas Afternoon Tea at The Library lobby lounge. The Market 39 Restaurant offer guests a festive dining experience with the enticing smells of the Christmas roasted turkey, and eye-catching display of various season’s dishes for Christmas Buffet Lunch and Christmas Buffet Dinner. The Basilico creates an Italian trattoria-style venue to celebrate Christmas and New Year. The hotel also lines up a sumptuous New Year’s Eve Dinner and DJ Night featuring the most talented DJ in town at its Grand Ballroom. Moreover, InterContinental offers 10% off any of New Year Celebration programs for groups of minimum 10 people or for those who have booked for Christmas dinners or lunches at the hotel.

Parkroyal Saigon: Enjoying a buffet spread of Christmas specialties on Christmas Eve whilst being enthralled by the sound of Christmas Carols, International band and special performance by the Magic show at Garden Brasserie Restaurant is something special the hotel wants to offer. The kids will be entertained this Christmas with surprise gifts from Santa Claus. Welcoming Year 2010 in style on New Year’s Eve with live performances by a 7-piece International Band and Dance with DJ over a splendid buffet feast and welcome drink is another highlight. After the countdown, there is a festive lucky draw. Guests at the Garden Brasserie and Poolside Terrace on New Year’s Day will get gifts.

Ramana Hotel Saigon: Besides the seafood buffet dinner from Dec. 1-30 with traditional music from a Filipino band, there are festive special lunch from Dec. 21 to Jan. 1 with piano music, Christmas Eve gala dinner with gifts for kids from Santa Claus, lucky draw with special prizes and live Filipino band and Christmas Day buffet lunch. The New Year’s Eve will have lucky draw, hats & noise makers, live Filipino band and countdown and toast at midnight.

Windsor Plaza Hotel: Dining at the Café Central An Dong on Christmas and New Year’s Eve for children, there are entertainment programs with live music on Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve, including lucky draw. On December 20, the café offers Little VIP Sunday Brunch with festive music, exciting games and prizes and a special magic show. The event is capped off with a visit from Father Christmas himself, as Santa Claus will appear to wish the children a happy holiday, take pictures, and provide special treats for them. For Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve, the Top of the Town restaurant on the 25th floor offers live entertainment with subtle strings and welcomes the New Year with a countdown to 2010 on the adjoining rooftop terrace.

Hilton Hanoi Opera: From Dec. 6 at the Ballroom kids can get into the festivities early by decorating their own Gingerbread House at the Ballroom. Chez Manon Restaurant has the Christmas Eve Dinner, of which Santa Claus will play with them at the kids corner.

Deluxe Seafood Christmas Dinner Buffet and Christmas Day Lunch are also available at Ba Mien Restaurant while Christmas Dinner Buffet is at Chez Manon Restaurant. A New Year’s Eve Fashion Show & Gala Dinner and Masquerade Party will be held at Ba Mien Restaurant besides the Christmas and Year End Parties 2009 Package.
